Warren and his wife are South African entrepreneurs, each running their own thriving businesses in Johannesburg. Well known in the world of personal finance, a best selling author and a regular on Bruce Whitfield’s Money Show,  Warren maintains that holidays are a priority spend for him and his wife.

The life of an entrepreneur is often lived at a full pace so, as you’d expect, holidays in remote locations such as bush lodges or quiet beaches, especially islands, offer the perfect foil to their working lifestyle. Throw in some good food & wine experiences and it’s Warren’s idea of the perfect getaway.

Given how extensively the couple has travelled, they found it difficult to pin down a favourite holiday—that’s the ideal, isn’t it?—but the ones that sprung to mind for Warren were the peaceful islands and great food of The Maldives, the awe-inspiring scale and scenery of the Serengeti, the relatively untouched nature of Mafia Island and their most recent trip to Tsarabanjina Island in Madagascar.

But, living in South Africa, Warren doesn’t always need to pack a passport for a great adventure. Favourite South African destinations for him include the Hemel en Aarde Valley for the food and wine experiences, the restaurants in Constantia and Cape Town (with its iconic Sea Point promenade walk), the Pongola Game Reserve on Jozini Dam for the peace and tranquillity and town of Prince Albert for an authentic Karoo experience.

But, keeping it relatively local, his next trip-in-planning is an escape to the remote and mesmerisingly beautiful Okavango Delta.

Because nobody travels quite like Warren.
