How to pay for your holiday

On this page you will find all the information you need in order to pay for your holiday. Once money matters are out of the way, we can focus on the fun part – planning your African holiday!

Leopard is based in Africa, and we sell directly to our customers. This means that we are able to cut out the middleman and offer you a much better price than you would get from an overseas travel agent.

Because we aim to keep our costs as low as possible, in order to give you the best price, we require that you send payment to us, net of bank fees. There are a few ways to do this:

  • Pay via credit card
  • Pay via international bank transfer
  • Pay via a money transfer app such as Wise or Revolut
Credit card

We accept Visa, Matercard and American Express credit cards. Leopard is charged a fee of 3.4% of the total payment to receive money from our clients via credit card. Because we aim to keep our costs as low as possible, we do not automatically add credit card fees. If you choose to pay by credit card, we will need to add 3.4% to your invoice. International Bank Transfer

You may pay Leopard via international bank transfer. The South African banking system uses SWIFT, not IBAN, for international payments. If you cannot load a SWIFT payment via your internet banking, you may need to ask your banker to set up the payment on your behalf. Please make sure that you or your banker choose the option of all bank fees charged to you, not shared.

The exact banking details to be used for the transfer are found on your invoice. Please check the bank fees with your bank before doing the transfer. Some banks charge a fixed fee and others a percentage. It is often cheaper to use the fixed fee.

Money Transfer App

Paying for your holiday via money transfer is often the cheapest and fastest way to pay. Different apps are available in different countries, but we have received payments from both Wise and Revolut with no problem. It does not take long to set up an account on the app, and when you are ready to make payment, the exact banking details to be used are found on your invoice.


We aim to give you a comprehensive quotation covering all expenses that you might incur on your trip, so that there are no hidden costs along the way. Please take time to read the inclusions and exclusions of your quote carefully, and ask any questions you may have. Please also read our booking conditions, attached to your quote and final confirmation.

Clients often ask why cannot itemise each part of our quote. We are bound by confidential contracts that prevent us from disclosing individual rates. But we are sure that the rate we quote is much better than one you would get going via an overseas travel agent.
