The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands, offering one of the world’s most beautiful island escapes. If you’re dreaming of clear turquoise water, powder-white beaches framed by granite boulders, this is where you’ll find them.
You’ll arrive in Mahé, home to the capital, Victoria. Here you’ll find lush mountain landscapes and beaches such as Beau Vallon Beach and Anse Royale. Hiking trails in Morne Seychellois National Park lead to waterfalls and panoramic viewpoints.
From Mahé, you can island-hop to Praslin, famed for its coco de mer palms, endemic black parrot and even more breathtaking beaches. You can also venture to the remote outer atolls, such as Alphonse Island. Here, around these sandy floating oases, you can enjoy exceptional snorkelling, diving and fishing. From Alphonse, you can have a picnic lunch on a private sandbank island nearby, or explore coral reefs and the surrounding ocean and see turtles, rays, and an abundance of fish species.
It’s no surprise that British Royals William and Kate chose the Seychelles as their honeymoon destination. Whether you want barefoot luxury, active days in nature, or deep seclusion, the Seychelles offers one of the most idyllic island settings on Earth.
FAQ's
Should I visit the inner islands or the outer islands?
If you’re seeking true seclusion and untouched nature, the Seychelles’ Outer Islands (including Alphonse, Desroches, Denis and Farquhar) offer pristine coral reefs and outstanding diving and fishing. The inner islands offer easy access, beautiful beaches, hiking trails, vibrant marine life and a wide range of accommodation, making them ideal for relaxed island escapes with various activities.
How do I get around in the Seychelles?
Use Cat Cocos ferries or Air Seychelles flights to move easily between Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue, with smaller islands requiring private charters. On Mahé and Praslin, you can travel by taxi, bus or rental car. Bicycles are popular on La Digue, which is a vehicle-free island.
