Chio lives with her husband, James Viles, and two children in Coogee Beach, Sydney. Both partners at Bain with very busy work-travel schedules, finding life balance is key to sustaining their energy, so holidays form a key part of their family life, not just as a way to refresh themselves but also as an opportunity to spend precious, undisturbed time together.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perfect break for Chio is at least two weeks where she can completely disconnect herself from work and allow the family to give each other full attention while travelling to a new destination. Ideally, the availability of childcare allows her and James to enjoy a dinner date and more adventurous activities, such as diving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her most recent holiday ranks amongst one of her favourites as the four of them soaked up the Greek islands for three weeks. The abundance of preserved history, the famous food and the friendly people made for a special experience. Even though many of the places didn’t specifically cater to children, the traditional appreciation of family meant that the kids were always looked after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to children, Chio and James ranked Namibia as one of their favourite destinations. With the ability to travel light they could fly to Windhoek, hire a 4×4 and cruise through to Sossusvlei to lose themselves in the desert scenery. The dunes of Swakop offered every way to expend adrenalin and energy and the views from the sky as they flew over the Skeleton Coast, the salt pans and the seal colony remain some of the greatest they’ve seen together. Include wildlife viewing in Etosha and luxurious stays in the private game lodges, their holidays make up some of their most cherished memories as a couple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planning to build on those memories as a family, they are taking advantage of their location in Australia to do a family road trip to Broken Hill, Australia’s equivalent of the wild west. Large expanses of land, the outback desert and the most amazing night skies lie in wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because nobody travels quite like Chio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
