Before starting this newsletter, I want to say, I am *very* excited about the November newsletter! I visited eleven luxury safari lodges in Kruger and Greater Kruger during October and have a full review and video to share with you next month, so keep an eye on your inbox. This month, I have a short guide to South Africa for all of you – it is linked below. 

This issue of the newsletter is about food and wine, two of my favourite things. When it comes to enjoying food and wine, I think we should follow Francis Ford Coppola when he says “I used to make to-do lists. I don’t do that anymore – now I write a to-enjoy list.”

South Africa is not yet known internationally for its food, but it should be. We grow most of our own food right here and the beef and lamb we produce is some of the best in the world. The food I miss most when away from South Africa is our fruit – those delicious bananas, nectarines, mangos, plums and apples.

There are many ways to discover South Africa’s food and wine. Starting with simply eating at our many excellent restaurants, or by visiting our wine regions, or by doing a foodie walking tour of Cape Town. The foodie tour of Cape Town is often the highlight of our clients holiday, thanks to the huge passion our guide has for food and her city! We also have a superlative guide for the wine region if you would prefer to explore the vineyards accompanied by a local expert.
